Our Activities

THEATRE: We organise rehearsals during which experienced members share their experiences to benefit every one. Those who can write stories do so, those who can develop them play their own role and hand the scripts to the Drama department for casting, rehearsals and performance. Plays for the stage are performed in Schools, Churches or Community halls while outdoor performances hold for Community Development plays. We improvise most of the time to encourage and develop personal skills. Our stories are also drawn from stories told by our parents of ancestral happenings and at times myths. We also do research work on different happenings, write the stories and perform them to correct societal ills.

MUSIC: Choral music, traditional music and others are used to spice the performances with useful messages to keep our audience relax but reflecting on what this may mean in their various circumstances.There is a newly created music club for those who are considering full time music as a career. They compose and sing songs for our movies and are very instrumental in helping music directors in teaching songs during choral music rehearsals.

FUN: There is a fun club for people who are very creative in conceiving, designing and performing fun for the stage and film. Though one of the youngest clubs, it is increasingly attracting popular support. They have some fun movies acted in pidgin and English.

SPORTS: This is a wonderful time when R.T.G members exercise themselves; feel relaxed and smart for action. Sports encounters are organized between R.T.G football for boys and handball for girls. What makes it great fun is the challenge some ladies have for the men when they get to the pitch and try to kick the ball into the goalkeeper's net. R.T.G plays against other N.G.Os, Schools and their staff, Church groups, Community clubs, a forum where both teams share mutual understanding while socializing.
